New for 2025! We love our heritage turkeys, but they are very challenging to raise. In 2025, we are raising a trial run of a breed of turkey developed in Canada called the Mini Classic. This turkey is a recreation of the Beltsville Small White, a smaller commercial turkey that was eventually displaced by the broad breasted turkeys. This turkey is similar to a true heritage breed in that it is smaller, active, and able to mate naturally; however, it has a larger breast and faster growth rate (ready for processing at 5 months instead of 7). Unlike broad-breasted turkeys, Mini-Classics can reproduce naturally and are not so heavy that they can't live long, happy lives!

Like their heritage cousins, our Mini-Classic turkeys spend their days wandering the pasture and foraging on grass, insects, and seeds; they also receive a 20% protein feed to support their faster growth. If you are looking for a more breast meat than what our heritage turkeys offer, or more meat for your dollar, this is your bird! We are pricing these at $7.50/lb; they will be frozen for Thanksgiving 2025, available for pickup after November 11, 2025.
